"Where Every Student Is A Star"
| North Jefferson Middle School was established in August
2004 to serve students in the Morris, Kimberly, Warrior, and Trafford
communities. Students in these communities previously attended Bryan
Elementary, Warrior Middle, and Mortimer Jordan High School. These schools'
grade levels were reconfigured, and students in grade six from Bryan, grades
six though eight from Warrior Middle, and grades seven and eight from
Mortimer Jordan were transferred to North Jefferson Middle School on August
8, 2004, with an enrollment of six hundred thirty students. Faculty and
staff from these schools were also transferred to North Jefferson. North Jefferson Middle School was constructed on forty-five beautiful acres located on Warrior-Kimberly road in Kimberly, Alabama. The facility has two computer labs, a family and consumer science suite, an art room, choral room, band room, gymnasium, cafeteria/theater, library, thirty-six academic classrooms, two teacher workrooms, counselors suite, assistant principal's office, principal's office, and conference room, school resource officer's office, security office, and visitor's reception area. The grounds include a fenced-in football field with a paved track. The school was built to house seven hundred fifty students. Enrollment is expected to increase in the next five years due to the development of several large subdivisions in the school zone. |
